Federal Employees impacted by the recent government shutdown are invited to pick up free food at the University Mall (parking lot between Sears Automotive and Hannaford), 155 Dorset Street, South Burlington between noon and 1:30 p.m. While the government has reopened, we know that the impact of the shutdown has been significant and it will take time to get things back in order. In the meantime, the Vermont Foodbank and all the network partners, including the Winooski Food shelf, are here to help. The Winooski Food Shelf has a Facebook page. We are open the second and fourth Wednesdays of each month from 2 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. and the second and fourth Saturdays from 9:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. We always have hot coffee and warm smiles.
