Are you curious if you have ancestors who were somehow tied to the slave trade--people who were slaveholders or were enslaved? Or people participating in the business aspect of the trade itself? If you have started this work or if you want to embark on this research, you are invited and welcome to the first monthly "meet-up" of people interested in this topic on Wednesday, January 30, 2019, at 4:30 pm (ending just before 6) at the North Branch Cafe, 41 State Street, Montpelier in their small Library room. This will be a time to share experiences, and resources. It will also be a time to talk about the emotional challenges of this research and ways to address difficult parts of our family stories that are very relevant in these times.
