"Second Saturdays" at North Common Arts continue Saturday, February 9th 7pm-10pm with Second Wind.
Second Wind is a Randolph-based band performing an eclectic mix of contemporary, classic folk, and rock tunes with a growing repertoire of original songs. From rock band to Second Wind's latest acoustic incarnation, Jim Sardonis (vocals and guitar), Jim Green (guitar, mandolin, dobro, and vocals), and Eric Sakai (bass) have played together for over thirty years in the Central Vermont area. Ralph Molinario, who plays cajón and harp with the band, completes the line-up.
The band is partial to the work of singer-songwriters like John Hiatt, Guy Clark, and James Taylor, but has also adapted songs by The Band, The Eagles, and others from its years playing rock gigs. Strong vocals, diverse instrumentation, and a solid beat may inspire dancing or singing along, which are always welcome at Second Wind performances.
