FREE ORGAN RECITAL FEB. 3: To celebrate the recent addition of a 27-pipe "trombone rank" in the pedal, join us to hear a distinguished group of Vermont organists play upon the 1864 E&GG Hook organ (op. 342) at First Baptist Church, 81 St. Paul St., Burlington. The new pipes were hand-built by A. David Moore of Pomfret, Vt. and modelled after those in the 1861 Hook organ in Bangor, ME (Hammond St. Congregational). Artists will include the church organist Adam Schneider, Lynette Combs, Vaughn Watson, Esther Nui, Jennifer Bowers and several others. The recital takes place at 3pm on Sun. Feb. 3. Free parking is available in the garage across the street (mention that you are attending an event at the church). The church is handicapped accessible. Refreshments will be served. Donations accepted.
