On Saturday, January 26th, Kit Barry, Founder & Proprietor of the Ephemera Archive for American Studies will present a talk about the Ephemera Archive, with a special emphasis on Newfanalia at the Moore Free Library, 1:30 – 3:00 PM
The Ephemera Archive contains over 300,000 original ephemeral artifacts — things designed to be discarded, such as menus, advertisements, postcards and calendars.
Kit will share some of his collection that has a tie-in with Newfane, and he'll share some stories about teaching elementary school in Newfane in the early '60s to a tough audience of kids!
Kit will share how the collection can be accessed by the public. If you catch the ephemera bug, you can also volunteer with the archive!
While here, you might like to check out the Crowell Gallery's Permanent Collection of world-class art by artists with a connection to Southern VT. The permanent collection is on view in January and February.
