Chelsea Library will be hosting its second Winter Series Talk at the Chelsea Town Hall. Thursday, FEBRUARY 7th at 7 PM, Howard Coffin, noted Vermont author and Civil War historian will be addressing the Vermont contribution to the Civil War. From Cedar Creek to Gettysburg, Vermonters were central to the Union cause.

Seventh generation Vermonter with six ancestors who served in the Vermont Civil War regiments, Howard Coffin has given more than 300 talks on the Civil War in Vermont alone. His illustrative and entertaining talk will cover Vermont's involvement in the War, the Vermonters who fought, and many intriguing and little known facts about our state's contribution.

Co-sponsored by the Vermont Humanities Council and the Chelsea Public Library, this event is free and open to the public accompanied by free and decadent refreshments!
