Experience the Shutesville Hill Wildlife Corridor first-hand with this tour through an active logging operation right in the heart of the corridor. We'll hear from the logger and forester who will describe the work they've done on this property, and what a sustainable harvest can look like when thinking about wildlife connectivity. Meet at end of Maggie's Way; parking will be on side of road.
Hosted by the Waterbury Conservation Commission, Stowe Land Trust, and other members of the Shutesville Hill Wildlife Corridor Partnership. Plan on a 1.5 mile moderately strenuous round trip hike. Depending on the weather, micro-spikes or snowshoes may be advisable. Rain or shine; dress for the weather.
