Our next MOPS/MomsNext-Waterbury Mission meeting is Thursday,January 17th in the Thatcher Brook Primary School Library. We start gathering at 6.45pm, video and discussion begin at 7.00 and the meeting concludes around 8.15pm. You are welcome to bring your child(ren). Childcare is always available.

This week, in the video portion of our meeting, we will hear from Lori Lara who believes, "The most important lesson in girls' self-defense is teaching students they're worth protecting." She is on a mission to empower girls and women through Strong Girl, a mentoring and self- defense program. Lori, a third degree black belt instructor, combines her unique knowledge of self-defense skills with a message of strength and healing. She encourages us to raise our girls to trust their intuition, claim their power and find their voice.

Now, you may not be raising girls but you ARE a girl and you have girlfriends. Why not stop by this Thursday to see how you can help empower the girls/women around you?
