Pilates for Active Aging (6 Week Series)

Past event

Many experts agree that Pilates is one of the best ways for older adults to stay healthy. For the older population keeping active is essential to maintain muscle mass, strength, bone density, balance, agility and endurance. But many forms of popular exercise can be hard on the bodies of older adults. Many have turned to Pilates as a way to stay active with its focus on controlled breathing and quality of movement, not quantity of repetitions.

Join our Polestar® Pilates instructor, Lissy Wolf, for a six week introduction to Pilates on the Pilates Reformer - an exercise apparatus with springs and ropes connected to a sliding carriage. Learn movement skills that can be applied to daily life while building strength, mobility, balance and confidence.

This series is open to all levels. No Pilates experience necessary. If you have a serious injury or movement restriction, please contact Lissy (lissy@allwellnessvt.com) before registering.
