Storytelling Open Mic Night and Workshop
Storytelling Open Night Series Kicks Off
Date: January 25th 7- 8:30 PM or until we run out of stories to tell
Location: Northwest Access TV Station 616 Franklin Park West St. Albans
Donation of $8 per adult collected at the door for Northwest Access TV

Come join us for an evening of adult Storytelling, each month this winter will bring an opportunity to tell a tale giving a theme. January's Storytelling Open Mic theme is all about New Beginnings. Take the stage and tell us how a new beginning took shape or didn't for you.
• Storytelling is open to any adult.
• Sign up by email (lnasemoonspinner@gmail.com) that way the host has a count of tellers.
• Storytellers must arrive at least 20 minutes before the event to sign in and claim a time spot.
• Tell us a story, no readings
• All storytellers will be videotaped for airing on Northwest Access TV. You can opt out of being part of Storytelling Open Mic Night Show. You can also request a copy of your performance; a small suggested donation is appreciated for this service.
• This telling for January is a true story related to the theme New Beginnings.

Audience
• Doors open for audience 10 minutes before show time.
• Show starts at 7:00 PM, once the host announces the first storyteller you will have to wait till that Storyteller is finished to come in and take a seat.
• These stories are not for children, adult tellers can be very passionate about their stories.
• Storytellers love to hear organic reactions to their stories so please laugh, cry, clap and cheer. Please don't heckle or interrupt. All cell phones must be turned off during performances, as storytellers are being videotaped no cell phone use will be allowed.
• This storytelling event is held in the atmosphere of a coffeehouse and as such coffee, tea and light snack will be sold during break. No outside food allowed, remember all monies for this event go to Northwest Access TV.

For all storytellers: present and future
Come meet your host Lesley Nase at Northwest Access TV on Wednesday January 23rd at 7 PM. This gathering will give storytellers a chance to hear about how the event will be run and view the stage set up. In February, Lesley will be running a month long workshop at Northwest Access TV on Wednesday nights from 7-8 PM for any new comers as well as old hands at storytelling. Lesley will be using videotaping of storytellers as a tool for improving your stories and creating your own video story of Storytelling Open Mic Night. Please email Lesley at lnasemoonspinner@ gmail.com to let her know your interest.
