Are you willing to get messy with your kids? Yes? Then put on your old clothes, and start the new year with Art! We're excited to announce the second event in our monthly series of multiage get-togethers at the library. This is a program for all ages, but children must be accompanied by a participating adult. Several projects are collaborative and require adult supervision/help for safety. Please sign up with approximate number of people and ages of kids attending so that we have enough materials - email castletonfreelibrary@gmail.com; send a Facebook message to Castleton Free Library; or call 468-5574 to leave a message. Please let us know ASAP, as enrollment will be limited by space, but no later than Friday Jan.18th if possible.
We'll warm up with some fast group tempera murals; then move on to stations: fused fabric appliqué, weaving, origami, and other surprises. Some stations will feature quick independent explorations, while others will introduce techniques for longer projects to be completed at home. Librarian Jan Jones (an art educator) will organize, with creative family members helping to keep the evening flowing. Free!
A reminder also to follow us on Facebook & Instagram for updates and photos. Happy snow!
