The Clarendon Historic Society will meet at 6PM Wednesday January 16th at the Clarendon Town Hall. The starting topic for this meeting will be a discussion on the old bridge abutments on Otter Creek and the colonial era crossing that may have been associated with the Crown Point Road. For all four sets of bridge abutments there are outstanding questions as to when they were built. For two of them the question concerns why were they built and what did they lead to. For the other two the question concerns why bridges were built in fairly close proximity to each other and why were they built as substantially as they were for the limited purpose they served.
