Make a Difference! Volunteer at the Vermont History Museum or the Vermont State House
Each year, thousands of Vermont school children visit the Vermont History Museum and the Vermont State House to learn about the state's history and government. A dedicated group of volunteers helps to make these field trips educational and engaging.
The Vermont History Museum is introducing new interactive school programs and is seeking volunteers to teach these extended learning activities. The Vermont State House is seeking additional volunteers to lead tours for students about the building and legislative process. No experience is necessary for either volunteer program and training will be provided.
To learn more about these volunteer opportunities, join representatives from the Vermont Historical Society and the Vermont State House for a joint information session on Friday, January 11 from 10:30 am to 11:30 am at the Vermont History Museum, located at 109 State Street in Montpelier. For more information, please contact Victoria Hughes, Museum & Education Manager at (802) 828-1413 or victoria.hughes@vermonthistory.org or Angelica Caterino, State House Tours Coordinator at (802) 828-1411 or visit@leg.state.vt.us.
