Have you made a New Year's resolution to get more exercise? Or to spend less time online and more time connecting with people? Or to get out and enjoy life even though your "to do" list is never-ending? Sounds like going to the Cabot dance this Saturday is just what you need!

Celebrate the new year by coming to the friendly contra and square dance this Saturday, January 12! The 2nd Saturday Cabot dance will feature the friendly Karen Mueller-Harder as the caller, and we'll have a special fairy tale theme to add to the playfulness, in honor of the birthday of Charles Perrault, who wrote the stories of Cinderella, Little Red Riding Hood and Sleeping Beauty.

You don't need to have any experience or talent for dancing, as we'll teach you all you need to know to participate in this great Vermont tradition. The dance starts at 7:30 in the Willey Building (3084 Main St) in Cabot village, and everyone is welcome--all ages, all abilities! If you're new to contra dancing, you can come at 7:15 for a little pre-teaching, if you'd like. The music is provided by a wonderful live band, which has been numbering 7-10 local musicians, and is wonderful to dance to, or you're welcome to just sit and listen. Bring the family, and stay as long or as short as you like!
