Gun Violence Prevention Film and Panel

The Greater Burlington Women's Forum is bringing documentary film-maker Donna Dees to screen her film, Five Awake, about five Louisiana women legislators who worked to pass gun-violence prevention laws in the wake of domestic violence tragedy.

What: Five Awake Screening & Panel Discussion
When: Wednesday, January 9th from 5:30 - 7:30pm
Where: Main Street Landing (Film House) 60 Lake Street, Burlington

Everyone is welcome, although the topic is sensitive and we recommend discretion if bringing anyone under 16. There will be refreshments. The film is free with donations collected at the door. Following the film, we will have a discussion with film-maker Donna Dees and Executive Directors from the co-hosting organizations, Steps to End Domestic Violence's Kelly Dougherty; and GunSense Vermont's Clai Lasher-Sommers.
