This Friday, January 11, John Sayles' THE RETURN OF THE SECAUCUS SEVEN will be shown at the Maple Corner Community Club at 7:00. Sayles burst onto the burgeoning American independent movie scene in 1981 writing and directing a touching, often humorous story of seven baby boomers with ties to the antiwar movement of the '60s, who get together for a weekend at the home of teachers Mike (Bruce MacDonald) and Katie (Maggie Renzi). Although the film was done on a minuscule budget, it has warmth and insight often lacking in more expensive productions. Rick Winston will introduce the film and lead a discussion afterwards; admission is by donation.
As always, bring yourself and your friends....see you at the movies!
