The Greater Burlington Women's Forum is bringing documentary film-maker Donna Dees to show her new film, Five Awake. The film is about five Louisiana women legislators who worked to pass gun-violence prevention laws in the wake of domestic violence tragedy.

What: Five Awake Screening & Panel Discussion
When: Wednesday, January 9th from 5:30 - 7:30pm
Where: Main Street Landing (Film House)

Everyone is welcome, although the topic is sensitive and we recommend not bringing anyone under 16 years of age. There will be refreshments. The event is free to attend, and donations will be collected at the door. Following the film, we will have a discussion with film-maker Donna Dees and Executive Directors from the co-hosting organizations, Steps to End Domestic Violence's Kelly Dougherty; and GunSense Vermont's Clai Lasher-Sommers.
