Hi neighbors! The Greater Burlington Women's Forum is bringing documentary film-maker, Donna Dees, to show her new film, Five Awake, about five Louisiana women legislators who worked to pass gun-violence prevention laws in the wake of domestic violence tragedy. Everyone is welcome, although the topic is sensitive and we recommend not bringing anyone under 16 years of age. We'll be at Main Street Landing in Burlington, Wednesday, January 9th from 5:30 - 7:30 pm. There will be refreshments. The film is free with donations collected at the door. Following the film, we will have a discussion with film-maker Donna Dees and Executive Directors from the co-hosting organizations, Steps to End Domestic Violence's Kelly Dougherty; and GunSense Vermont's Clai Lasher-Sommers. This event is sponsored by Honey Road and Main Street Landing.
