Tu B'shvat - Celebration of the Trees for Families and Adults
January 12, 2- 4:30 PM
Deep in the winter quiet, the ever intuitive Jewish calendar brings us a celebration of possibilities and abundance in honor of The Tree of Life. Tu B'Shvat celebrates, the birthday of the trees, and has become a modern Jewish Earth Day! In the Jewish month of Shvat, we come together: to stop, to bless, to enjoy the fruits of our beautiful earth and to recommit ourselves to actions that steward this world we share with our friends the trees. All are welcome, as we honor the trees, play in the snow, drink Hemlock tea, share stories, and dwell in the forest. This year we are offering two programs, one geared toward families and children; and another geared toward adults and teens. For both programs bring: sleds, snow toys, layers, snow pants, snow shoes, and happy smile
Family program for families with young children
We will play games and share a "kid-friendly" ritual that deepens our gratitude for the land and revitalizes our commitment toward ecology. All activities will be outside in the field. Fun for young and old!
Adults and older children snow shoe in the woods
Together we will romp around the woods and engage in mindfulness activities that connect us to the season and the holiday. In addition we will learn from the natural wonders around us with tree identification and tracking
Please RSVP to info@livingtreealliance.com, in order to have parking spots available we need to know who is coming, and to provide directions...Stacey Sephirah Oshkello
