Science Pub: The Genetics of Addiction

Past event
Jan 6, 2019

It's almost January in Vermont... not much to do ... but there's Science Pub!

So on Sunday, January 6, 4 pm, come join your curious friends and neighbors to hear Asst. Professor Gregory Engel of Castleton University explore this puzzle:

Why can some people safely use opioids or drink alcohol while others become quickly addicted?
The answer lies in our genes, but which ones?

We'll meet at Lake Bomoseen Lodge, which has been redone with a third floor for meetings, so we have a large, quiet and accessible space to listen, chat, drink and eat.

Have a drink, stay for dinner (or not), and start your week with a burst of brain growth!
