Good Grief: A Workshop Exploring the Art of Grieving

Past event

Greetings, I hope you are well in this holiday season. I am writing to invite you to an upcoming expressive arts workshop focused on the management of grief through engaging in arts practices.

Good Grief, a six week workshop will meet Saturdays, January 12th - February 16th, 10:00 am - 12:30 pm at Expressive Arts Burlington. Register by midnight Jan1, 2019 and save $40 at: www.expressiveartsburlington.com

Grief is a natural part of the human experience. As a culture, we don't do a very good job integrating it into life and all too often grieving people are encouraged to go on with business as usual. But unattended grief tends to make business as usual impossible. It is this workshop's intention to provide an experiential opportunity for people living with grief or those interested in learning more, to explore through the arts, how life and grief can be managed concurrently. Using a multimodal approach which includes movement, play, visual art and writing practices, participants will learn techniques for coping with and embracing their grief experience from new perspectives.
