Marshfield native Elsa Engstrom will speak this Wednesday evening on the humanitarian crisis occurring along the US-Mexico border. Elsa is a volunteer with humanitarian aid and advocacy group No More Deaths, whose mission is to help end death and suffering in the US-Mexico borderlands. She will be giving this talk on Wednesday, December 26 from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. at the Plainfield Friends Meeting House at 203 Martin Meadow Road. I urge everyone who is able to attend. It will change your whole attitude towards our southern border, to hear first-hand about the horrific humanitarian crisis that is being perpetuated in our name, the draconian policies of the Trump administration, and the brave work Elsa and others are doing to alleviate the suffering down there.
