Join Elsa Engstrom (a native of Central VT) at the Plainfield Friends Meetinghouse for a short presentation on the work of No More Deaths/ No Mas Muertes (NMD), a humanitarian aid and advocacy group based in Tucson, AZ. Since 2004, they have been working to help end death and suffering in the U.S.- Mexico borderlands. At present, nine NMD volunteers are facing federal prosecution for their work, creating a threat not only to NMD but also to the future of migrant justice work at large.
