Follow the light of the luminaries and the sound of the bell to the historic West Brookfield Meetinghouse for an old-fashioned, home-grown, candle-lit Christmas Eve celebration on Monday, December 24, at 6:30 P.M. The program will include music by local musicians, seasonal readings and stories, and carol singing. Dress warmly and bring a flashlight as the building is heated only by woodstove.
The meetinghouse is located 4.6 miles south on Steele Hill Road off Route 12, about 5 miles south of Northfield / or 0.7 miles up West Brookfield Road, off Route 12, about 8 miles north of Randolph.
The event is hosted by the West Brookfield Village Trust. The program is free, but donations to help with the meetinghouse plaster restoration project are appreciated. Raffle tickets for a beautiful, hand-made quilt supporting our restoration project will also be available for sale. We'll draw the winner that night.
Wishing everyone a wonderful holiday season and new year, however and whomever you spend it with!
