THE PERFORMERS
"Sam" Averbuck (guitar and vocals) and "Sage" Snider (violin, mandolin, and vocals) are a new duo covering a wide variety of popular music. Sam and Sage met the winter of 2013 performing at Smugglers' Notch Resort, and haven't stopped playing together since. With their extensive musical training, from Sam's bachelor's in classical and jazz to Sage's studies of classical and bluegrass violin, they've each performed and taught in venues ranging from bars, music camps, Yale's Symphony Hall, to the Smithsonian, in genres including rock, bluegrass, metal, classical, blues, and old-time music. Combining their diverse skills to create new interpretations of well-known and loved songs, "Sam and Sage" promise to give you a memorable and exhilarating musical experience.

ABOUT BETTER ANGELS
Founded in 2016, Better Angels is a 501(c)3 that aims to bridge our national political divide by bringing "red" and "blue" citizens together. They are also building a media and scholarly network and increasing efforts that target policy makers. While there are similar discussion organizations, Better Angels is unique in having equal "blue" and "red" representation, focusing on the issue of polarization, and building a national, grassroots movement that has caught the attention of major news networks (e.g., CNN, the AP, NBC, NYTimes).

"We are not enemies, but friends. We must not be enemies. Though passion may have strained, it must not break our bonds of affection. The mystic chords of memory…will yet swell the chorus of the Union, when again touched, as surely they will be, by the better angels of our nature."

—Abraham Lincoln, 1861. First Inaugural Address
