Have you ever thought about becoming a caregiver for older adults, but don't have the experience?
VT Med Ed. is seeking those individuals interested in a Personal Care Attendant (PCA) training program hosted by Home Care Assistance of Greater Burlington. PCA training is valued by many local senior care employers, including Home Care Assistance.
A free information session/orientation for anyone interested in learning more about the course will be held on Thursday, December 20th, 2018 from 3:30 pm to 4:30 pm at the Home Care Assistance office. Attendees will learn about the course syllabus and the various funding options that are available for those who qualify. For many participants, the course is free to them and is a great stepping stone into the caregiving profession. Home Care Assistance of Greater Burlington is located at 4 Pearl St. Suite 104 Essex Junction, VT 05452 next to McGillicuddy's at Five Corners.
Course attendees will have the opportunity for hands-on training provided by VT Med Ed. The course will begin on Tuesday, January 8th, 2019 and classes will be every Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday from 9:00 AM until 1:00 PM for 3 weeks.
