Join us at All Souls Interfaith Gathering in Shelburne for a Music and Spirit service entitled "Weaving us Together," with speaker Melody Walker Brook and led by All Souls Interim Director, Sue Dixon. Melody identifies as citizen of the Elnu Abenaki Band, is involved with the Vermont Commission on Native American Affairs, and is an educator, activist and artist. She has served as an adjunct professor at Champlain College and Johnson State College, lecturing on a variety of topics, including Native American history, Abenaki history, politics, and spirituality. Additionally she is a traditional finger weaver, photographer, ribbon worker, beadworker, and interpreter of wampum belts.
Melody will guide us on a journey of Abenaki spirituality, with intention to see our world through a new cultural lens. She will speak and explore topics of personhood, identity, and the inter-connectedness of all things. Music by Cody Hemenway will be woven throughout the evening.
All are invited and welcome. All Souls is located at 291 Bostwick Farm RD in Shelburne.
