Contra dance Saturday: Dugan Murphy & Cloud Ten!

Please join us for dancing and fun at the Capital City Grange Hall on Saturday night Dec. 15. Lesson for newcomers about 7:30 PM, followed by dancing from 8:00 to 11:00.

Dugan Murphy, from Portland ME will call all the dances, as well as teaching the newcomer lesson. Cloud Ten will play exciting music, with fiddle, cello, trumpet, banjo, drums & piano providing hot tunes and driving beats for a winter's evening.

Dugan & CloudTen are easy to find on Facebook & YouTube if you want to see and hear them...but they're even better live, so come on over!

CDU Contra dances are 1st, 3rd, and 5th Saturdays at 8 PM at the Capital City Grange Hall in Berlin (located on Northfield Street/Route 12 just south of the I-89 overpass), 8–11 p.m. Admission is $10.00 for adults, $5.00 for kids or low-income, $15.00 for dance supporters–choose the right price for your budget. We suggest light, comfortable clothing, and bring a water bottle to refill at our water fountain/bottle filler. And please bring clean, soft-soled shoes, to help us protect our beautiful dance floor.

We are a friendly and open dance community! Beginners, singles, and all ages are welcome; all dances are taught. Whoever you are, we invite you to come share the joy of dancing with us!

Questions? call Tim Swartz at 802-225-8921 for more info, or see the Contra Dancing page on the Grange website: http://capitalcitygrange.org/dancing/contradancing/ . Dances are presented by the all-volunteer Contra Dance Umbrella (CDU), people who like to see everyone having fun at the dance!
