Harp & Song at the Library

Enjoy holiday cheer and refreshments, while experiencing the peaceful and relaxing sounds of holiday and seasonal harp music, and the joy and exuberance of singing carols, in the Waterbury Public Library's Café on Wednesday evening December 19th from 5:30-7:30. Harp music will be performed by Judi Byron, with carol singing led by Patty Delaney. Caroling will occur on the hour, from 6-6:15 and 7-7:15 and will include seasonal favorites, carols from various faith traditions, children's songs and more.

Judi has been playing the harp since 1986 and loves to share the beauty and resonance of the instrument with others. . She was a harpist in the dining room up at the Trapp Family Lodge in Stowe for 10 years and also the Music Educator at the lodge teaching harp and vocal lessons, leading sing-alongs for guests, and designing musical programs for children.

Judi attended Berklee College of Music in Boston and is a graduate of the International Harp Therapy Program based out of San Diego, CA and the Vibroacoustic Harp Therapy Program out of Pennsylvania. Judi plays regularly at area nursing homes, is a liturgical musician for Immanuel Episcopal Church in Bellows Falls, and concertizes regularly around Vermont and New Hampshire.

Many know Patty Delaney as a massage therapist, but she also is an accomplished amateur singer who has performed at many of Waterbury's festivals, including Winterfest and many Jazzyoke nights.

Come for singing, for listening, for merry-making, for refreshments, or simply to have some downtime in a often busy time of year.
