Valley Lions Club has been honoring the Lions Club motto of "We Serve" by providing support for vision, environment, diabetes, hunger and pediatric cancer awareness and support for 50 years. We provide financial support to West River Community residents for new eyeglasses to those who are in need, Leland & Gray graduating students with a Freshman Scholarship Award for higher educational pursuits, the Townshend Food Pantry with a food and financial support drive, provide vision testing to schools, support diabetes awareness & pediatric cancer.
Our next general membership meeting will be held on Tuesday, January 8th at 7 pm at the NewBrook Fire & Rescue upstairs meeting room.
We are also looking for reminiscences of past Valley Lions events and former Leland and Gray students who were recipients of the Scholarship Award to learn how they succeeded with their dream of college, to help with telling our story of 50 years in serving the West River Valley.
