• DATE: Wed., December 12th, 2018

• TIME: 12:30pm -2:00pm

• PLACE: Next Stage Arts, Putney, VT

ABOUT
The Circles Survey is now complete with 168 entries representing about 6% of the Putney population. Students will be sharing the results of the study which reflect residents' perceptions of their own well-being. It is hoped that this can help foster a larger conversation on Sustainable Development for the Putney community.

This study is part of a larger "Circles of Sustainability" project, housed in Australia, that Landmark College professor, Dr. Tamara Stenn, is a member of through her Fulbright research on place-based rural development. Dr. Stenn works with a global team of economists and social scientists, to map citizens' own perceptions of sustainability in their community examining at environmental, social, economic and cultural aspects. The "Circles of Sustainability" project is based on Nobel Laureate Amartya Sen's groundbreaking economic work on well-being and measures how one is able to live the life they have reason to value. New York's Ross Institute, will house the study results on the new Circles of Sustainability website which is in a beta testing stage and will be used as a global education tool.
