The "Holiday" edition of our Ward 1, Ward 8 NPA Meeting will be held this coming Wednesday, December 12th, at the UVM Medical Center, in the McClure Lobby Conference Room.
Our agenda looks like this:

7.00 p.m.: Welcome and introductions.
7.05: Speak Out
7.20: City Council update, Sharon Bushor, Adam Roof, Richard Deane, hopefully with a Burlington Town Center redevelopment update.
7.40: Burlington Schools update from Commissioner Kathy Olwell. The BSD School Budget will be on the agenda during the next month or two, but are there any plans in place regarding the future of the Ira Allen School District building on Colchester Ave?
7.50: UVM Medical Center: Director Facilities Management, Dave Keelty with an update on plans for an acoustic barrier wall, with new design options. All East Ave / "Centennial" neighbors especially encouraged to offer opinions.
8.05: UVM Athletics Facility: Lisa Kingsbury (UVM) and Mark Smith (RSG Consultants) will present details of the construction logistics and traffic study for the development of the "On-Campus Multipurpose Athletics Facility", with special regard to any impacts on Wards 1 & 8.
8.25: State Reps Brian Cina and Barbara Rachelson (and possibly others) invite neighbor input for the upcoming Legislative Session. What's on your mind? Budget? Opioid issues? School funding? Jobs? Environment? Carbon tax? Health care? Have your say!
9.00: Close

There will be free parking in the McClure Garage, courtesy of UVM MC.
All are enthusiastically invited to join us, there's a lot going on right now (isn't that always the case at Holiday time?), in our Wards in particular and the City in general. Tell our elected officials which deserve support, which deserve lumps of coal.
