In memory of those who lost their lives as a result of the attack on Pearl Harbor on Dec. 7, 1941, Norwich University will host a Remembrance Ceremony. The ceremony will take place on Friday, Dec. 7, at 10 p.m. on the Upper Parade Ground (UP).
During this ceremony, a bugler will play Echo Taps and Amazing Grace. The campus is expected to be silent following the ceremony and for the Upper Parade Ground to remain silent until 11 p.m.
All in attendance are expected to behave and dress in a respectful manner for such an occasion. Cell phones should not be brought to this event.
All members of the Norwich and Northfield communities are welcome to attend. Attendees and community members are asked to be mindful of the Corps formations and to congregate by the steps of Jackman Hall. To prevent possible interruptions, we ask that attendees arrive to the UP by 9:50 p.m., including those intending to park their vehicles in the Jackman Hall Parking lot.
