The Taste Place is celebrating Country Christmas with some really fun and delicious tastings!
First from 12pm - 2pm we are welcoming the "Party Chefs" with their merignue samples for the first annual Taste of the Valley competition! Check out the different groups around the Mad River Green shops and vote for your favorite. All votes are collected at Whipple Tree Design, located across the plaza from us.
Next up on the agenda from 12pm - 3pm - a Vendor Fair with some of our favorites. Come and taste cheddars from Shelburne Farms, iced cider and heritage ciders from Eden Ciders, wines and sparkling ciders from Boyer's Hard Cider and Wine, and lastly enjoy a hot chocolate bar with Mad River Distillers. We are serving up Lake Champlain hot chocolate as is for the kids, but if Mom and Dad want to kick their hot cocoa up a notch, we can do that too!
Lastly - join us in welcoming the Mad River Path for their Winter Solstice Party. Starting here at the Taste Place at 4:30pm, get your raffle tickets to be entered to win either an awesome local foods basket, or a Lawson's Finest Liquids basket. Hear all about the upcoming happenings for the Path. The Taste Place will have light appetizers and a cash bar available. At 6pm take a walk on the Path and head over to the Lawson's Finest Liquids Taproom. There will be a Nordic themed toast you won't want to miss!
