Come to this Saturday's Giving Fair at Oxbow High School from 10:00 – 3:00. The Newbury Historical Society will be among 40 nonprofits exhibiting and offering holiday treasures. NHS will be displaying pictures of some of Newbury's one-room schoolhouses. Visitors will be encouraged to test themselves to see how "well-schooled" they are in identifying particular school buildings. Local history books by local authors, some kitchen items with a Christmas motif, and several crocheted table coverings will be for sale. Also available will be raffle tickets for a cord of seasoned and split firewood and gift memberships in the NHS. Stop by, show that you are well-schooled, learn about the NHS, and support your Historical Society by doing some shopping.
