Starting in early April, Addison County River Watch Collaborative monitors the waters of Otter Creek, the Middlebury River, Lewis Creek, the New Haven River, Little Otter Creek and the Lemon Fair. This year River Watch is holding our training on Saturday, March 22 from 9:00am to 11:00am at the Addison County Regional Planning Commission, 14 Seminary Street, Middlebury; 388-3141. Bristol Bakery bagels, Vermont Coffee Company strong cups a’ joe & fresh fruit will be served for training!

If you have an interest in the health and wellbeing of our local watersheds, and would like to assist in collecting samples, please join us - volunteers currently hail from Salisbury, Starksboro, Ripton, Bristol, Cornwall, Middlebury, Vergennes, Ferrisburgh, Charlotte and New Haven. Trained volunteers sample rivers 1-3 times (first Wednesdays) from April to September.
