The Johnson Historical Society looks forward to welcoming young and old at the Holcomb House during the Holiday Jubilee on Friday. Alice Whiting and Jane Marshall will be reading favorite stories by the Christmas Tree in the parlor.
There is a Silent Auction in process from now until December 16th. Seventeen antique or collectible items plus five baskets each with a variety of items are displayed for your inspection. Offer the highest bid and you could win a special holiday gift. How about wine or water goblets by George Scatchard (vintage 1970s), antique covered serving dishes, a wooden sap bucket with a hand-blown glass garden ball, several interesting pictures, pottery goblets, or a hand painted chocolate set with six cups and saucers. Check the Johnson Historical Society Facebook page for a complete list of silent auction items or better still stop by the Holcomb House to check them out on Friday from 4 PM to 7 PM or during regular hours on Thursdays from 9 AM to noon and Sundays from 1 to 4 PM.
Learn about the most recent additions to the Historical Society's collection and enjoy mulled cider, coffee, and home baked cookies.
