Sat. March 8 at 7:30 PM: Atlantic Crossing Plays at The Music Box

For over 18 years, the Vermont band Atlantic Crossing has been thrilling concert audiences and contra-dancers with traditional songs and acoustic instrumental music from New England - music which has deep Celtic roots in the British Isles and in French & Maritime Canada - together with original compositions inspired by these traditions.

For many years, Atlantic Crossing have been accepted to the Vermont Arts Council's juried artists register, a selection of the state's best artists. With a reputation as an in-demand contra dance band, Atlantic Crossing have toured widely in the US and beyond, and have played at many of the major dance series as well as at festivals and dance weekends nationwide.

Atlantic Crossing have appeared at numerous festivals, concert series, and on Public Radio.

They now have five recordings on CD, as well as a compilation of sets of dance tunes available on CD. The band members are: Viveka Fox (fiddle, bodhran, djembe),Peter Macfarlane (fiddle, low whistle, vocals), Tristan Henderson (mandolins, tenor banjo, foot percussion, vocals), and Rick Klein (guitar, vocals).
