GUN VIOLENCE VIGIL AT 6PM ON SUNDAY, 12/16 at Charlotte Congregational Church - As the year comes to a close, we are mindful that again this year our country experienced almost daily occurrences of mass shootings. We are aware that this year our communities experienced crime, domestic violence, and suicides involving guns. And we are aware that we are divided as a nation on the subject of guns. In response to this persistent violence and division, the Charlotte Congregational Church will hold a vigil on Sunday, 12/16 at 6:00 PM. Our sanctuary will be open to anyone for a time of silence, prayer and reflection. Candles will be available to light in support of survivors of gun violence, in memory of those who died, and in hope that we can come together to create a of a world in which violence is a word we no longer know.
