"Democracy is not just an election, it is our daily life." -Tsai Ing-wen
"The great thing about social movements is everybody gets to be a part of them." -Jim Wallis
"There is no power for change greater than a community discovering what it cares about." –Margaret J. Wheatley
The election is over.
But the social movement that inspired me to run, and inspired so many to vote—many for the first time—continues on, stronger than ever.
My campaign was about learning what our community cares about.
In exchange for having the privilege of hearing your hopes, concerns, and stories, I made the commitment to you that your voices would not be forgotten.
While I will not be serving in the year ahead as your state representative, I intend to honor this commitment.
It is more important than ever that our elected officials hear from us often so that we can support them in their mission: creating policies that will serve our community well. Policies like $15 minimum wage, paid family and medical leave, and clean water!
Join me and Rights and Democracy for an evening of dialogue on Sunday, December 16th at 6pm at The Traveled Cup to determine our collective next steps in the year ahead to bring about positive change! RSVP here: https://www.katelarose.com/events
