Writing to the Light at Moore Free Library
Second Annual Writing Circle to meet December 9, 2018 from 1-4
Join me for an afternoon of reflection and writing at the Moore Free Library, I will again lead Writing to the Light, a writing circle designed for the end of the year.
A writing circle is an opportunity to practice automatic writing in the company of others. In timed writing exercises designed to prime the creative pump, writers focus and words fly in an rush of discovery. Those who wish can read this new work to the group while all participants bear witness to the surprising and wonderful stories that emerge.
I will provide the prompts and teach a positive response practice that engenders both safety and synergy, where participants invariably write more, write better, and write with greater confidence.
As the world tilts away from the sun, this writing circle offers an opportunity for participants to reflect on the year past, consider the year to come, and enjoy the support of telling stories in a safe and encouraging environment.
The workshop is free, though voluntary donations in any amount will gladly be accepted for the benefit of the Moore Free Library. Writers of all abilities are welcome, but space is limited and registration is required. Register at www.deborahleeluskin.com/contact/ and type "Writing to the Light" in the message.
