The Capital City Grange has invested some of our "rainy day fund" savings in the VT Community Loan Fund. We believe in "socially responsible local investing". Please join us at the Grange Hall on Saturday, Dec. 1st, at 5:30 PM, for a presentation from the Director of Investment & Philanthropy for the VCLF, Jake Ide. He will discuss the loans and investments which the organization makes, to organizations around the state. He'll be happy to take questions about the impact they have had, the security of money invested in their fund, and the need for capital which they fill.
The talk and Q&A with Jake Ide will run until 6:00--and then please stay for our Community Potluck Dinner, until 7:00. We'll continue our conversations over the food made by all of us--ranging from salads to breads to cookies, to casseroles! Bring what you want--potluck contributions have ranged from chips to a crown roast to apples. Friendly people and good food are a recipe for enjoyment.
