Knit one of Carolyn's hat patterns, "Northern Lights". It takes one skein of solid-colored yarn ($10.00), one of variegated ($12.00), and the pattern ($6.00). You'll also need Size 6 and Size 8 double pointed (or 16" circular) knitting needles. Treat yourself to a "spring edition" wool hat, shop local, and support a Vermont sheep farm.
