Have you been told by your doctor that you will have to take your Type 2 Diabetes medication for the rest of your life? Or have you been told you are pre-diabetic or need to lose weight? Are you interested in changing your diet and lifestyle so you are in control and no longer have to take medication?

Adult-onset diabetes, also called Type 2 Diabetes Mellitus, is a disease of metabolism (i.e. of how food is converted to fuel) and is the most common endocrine disorder diagnosed in the United States where it is considered an epidemic. Approximately 5 million deaths were attributable to diabetes in 2015! It is the third leading cause of death in the world. Research has clearly demonstrated that healthy lifestyle and food choices can prevent 90% of Type 2 diabetes cases. The processed foods, full of salt, sugar and fat, are deadly contributors to insulin resistance. There is current research that shows that changing your diet and lifestyle can increase your insulin sensitivity and get you off medications in as little as 2 weeks.

Who is the workshop for?
Please join us if you or someone you love has been diagnosed with Type 2 Diabetes, pre-diabetes, or struggles with any of the primary risk factors for Adult-Onset Diabetes such as obesity, hypertension, high cholesterol or heart disease.
