Santa Claus is coming to Middletown Springs!!! On Saturday, December 1st, the Middletown Springs Volunteer Fire Department will be hosting their annual Breakfast with Santa. Santa will parade atop a fire truck from the firehouse on North Street to the Middletown Springs Elementary School at 9am. Hosting the event at the Middletown Springs Elementary School is new this year. The event is all about the children, and MSVFD chose to host the event at the school. The school offers ample parking and a bigger space to host the event.
Children and their families will enjoy a pancake breakfast with Santa. Children will have the opportunity to sit with Santa and tell him what is on their lists this year for Christmas. During the event, children will enjoy holiday music and craft making. Children will receive a gift bag and reindeer food to put out on Christmas Eve courtesy of the fire department. Parents and children will be able to write letters to Santa. Letters will be placed in the magic mailbox, which sends them straight to the North Pole! Children will receive a personalized letter from Santa just before Christmas. Of course the letter will be from the big guy himself!
The Middletown Springs Volunteer Fire Department has added something new this year! This year, the MSVFD is asking for donations to support one of their own. Dennis Philips from Wallingford Volunteer Fire Department is in need of a double lung transplant. Dennis is a captain and safety officer on the Wallingford Volunteer Fire Department. Dennis was diagnosed with sarcoidosis, which is a disease effecting his immune system and his organs. MSVFD will have a donation box for the Phillips family at the event.
The MSVFD Breakfast with Santa is a favorite event for the Middletown Springs Volunteer Fire Department. This is event is all about children, local communities, and the magic of the holidays. There is nothing more satisfying than watching the faces of the children light up with joy as Santa arrives and greets the children each year.
