Waterbury Ambulance is now a Child Safety Seat Fitting Station!
This is a free and convenient way to have your child's car seat inspected by a NHTSA-certified Child Passenger Safety Technician. Parents and caregivers receive personal instruction on the proper selection, installation, and use of their car seats.
Soon-to-be parents are encouraged to set up an appointment as well, as early as 30-45 days before your due date!
Vermont's child safety seat law defines age limits, but not weight and height. It also states very vaguely that a child must be "properly" secured in your vehicle. You have read every manual and watched every YouTube video, but how do you know for sure?
We can help!
Fittings are 30 minutes per seat/child and will be conducted at our station, 1727 Guptil Road, Waterbury Center.
For an appointment to have your car seat checked for proper fit and installation please contact Child Passenger Safety Specialist Lindsay Johnson at 802-798-2515.
*If you qualify for food stamps, WIC, Dr. Dynosaur or other low-income programs please ask about our Car Seat Voucher Program! You may be eligible for a FREE car seat!!*
