Energy bills giving you the blues? Wednesday, November 28 at 7pm in the Dorothy Alling Memorial Library, Sustainable Williston is putting on the second in a series of energy related workshops. This one is around the subject of weatherizing your home to reduce drafts, make it more comfortable and save money on fuel. A member of Efficiency Vermont will give a slide presentation showing us how to stop air leakage in places such as around your attic access, your cellar door, box sills, windows and doors. These do-it-yourself projects will save you money and created a warmer home. Efficiency Vermont is offering a rebate of up to $100 for materials you purchase to make these improvements. There will be a representative from Building Energy, a local weatherization contractor to answer your questions about a free energy walk through of your home to identify the biggest heat-loss issues of your home.
If the contractor walk-through is of interest to you, you can get to a short questionnaire on line at: ButtonUpVermont.org/get-congractor. Fill out what you know; that will register you and a representative from Building Energy will contact you or meet him at the workshop on the 28th.
