I have been taking Sevak's yoga class in downtown Cabot since the early autumn and am hooked. This style of yoga is new to me, as I have mainly practiced Hatha yoga, but I quickly found the technique easy to learn. One thing that has me going back each week is that my back pain is noticeably less and I owe that to this class and the exercises we do. For those who are unfamiliar with Kundalini Yoga ... it is a combination of breath, movement, and meditation known to help detox the body, balance the hormones, restore the nervous system, boost the immune system, enhance lung capacity, and awaken energy. This class is taught every Sunday in the Willey Building from 10-11:30am and is a sponsored program by the Cabot Library. All levels/ages welcome. Wear comfortable clothes and bring a mat, blanket, bolster if you have one – these are also supplied in class. Come with an open mind, leave with an open heart! Donations welcomed.
