Join marimba soloist Jane Boxall and the Montpelier Chamber Orchestra for two free, all-ages concerts at the Vermont College of Fine Arts on Saturday, November 17, at 7 pm and Sunday, November 18, at 4pm. Boxall will perform the Concerto para Marimba y Orchestra No. 1, Op. 20 (1957), by Guatemalan composer Jorge Sarmientos. Reservations can be made at https://www.mcovt.org/programs/ but advance reservations are not necessary.

MCO Artistic Director Anne Decker leads the orchestra in additional music by Latin American composers: Alberto Ginastera's Dances from Estancia op. 8a (Argentina, 1941), and the American premiere of Diana Syrse's Colección de Realidades (Mexico, 2012). Completing the concert is Franz Schubert's Symphony No. 8 in B minor (the Unfinished)."
