Hi everyone,

The Vermont Technical College Astronomy Club plans to launch a high altitude balloon on Friday. The balloon will travel approximately 24 kilometers up (15 miles) and travel around 100 miles. We plan to get video footage and pictures of the launch, but we are also inviting everyone to join us for it! Because we have never launched a high altitude balloon before, it will certainly be a learning experience and may take some time.

We plan to launch from right outside the VTC cafateria, starting to set up around 3.
